FITNESS CENTRES City Gym Express, is £6 per day for visitors, 2 Furness Road. Sovereign Centre has over 80 stations in their fitness suite and you don`t have to be a member. David Lloyd - private - members only Bannatynes Gym - private - for members only

GOLF There are 11 Golf Courses in the immediate area including The Royal, Paradise Drive, founded in 1887 the Royal has beautiful views across Pevensey Bay. Members and non-members welcome. The East Sussex Golfing Academy at Eastbourne Golfing Park, Lottbridge Drove, (with floodlit driving range, putting and chipping green) for affordable golf, with `pay and play` facilities. Sussex County Golf Union, East Dean Road, Further afield are Seaford Head Golf Course, with magnificent views of the sea and the South Downs, especially those from the the 13th hole onwards which have panoramic views of the famous Seven Sisters towards the 500 foot high cliffs at Beachy Head. TENNIS Tennis lovers can enjoy six major tennis tournaments every year at the Devonshire Park tennis court, which is home to the International Lawn Tennis Championships at College Road, Eastbourne, or hire yourself a grass court. Play also at Saffrons Sports Club, Langney Sports Club, or at Gildredge Park where Tennis in the Park has floodlit hard courts with tuition available all year round.

FISHING Go fishing off the beach towards the Sovereign Harbour. Fish off the end of the Pier, in Hydneye Lake at Shinewater Park, at the Eastbourne Miniature Railway, Lottbridge Drove, or charter a boat and go sea angling!
